Descriptions of some of the modalities I utilize:

Interactive Guided Imagerysm

This powerful holistic modality assists clients in connecting with their inner knowledge at the thinking, feeling, sensing levels, thereby promoting their innate healing abilities.  Together, guide and client co-create an effective way to work with: pain, symptom, grief, and stress management; conflict resolution; self-empowerment issues; and/or preparing for medical-surgical interventions. (Ref: see Academy of Guided Imagery: www.acadgi.com/; Imagery International: http://imageryinternational.org/)

Integral Holistic Coaching

This type of coaching is a client-centered process that assists clients in finding their own best answers and insights to promote healing and wellness.  A coaching client takes responsibility for his/her own participation by willingly entering a coaching contract, by identifying the focus for each session, and then by creating a personalized plan of field/personal work between sessions.  A variety of coaching tools, such as imagery, options, 1-10 scale, Tapping, story, sense of purpose, Magic Wand, etc, are utilized to help clients access their insights and find their own direction. Family & Systemic Constellation Work

Family systemic constellations is a therapeutic approach designed to help reveal the hidden dynamics in a family or relationship in order to address any stressors impacting these relationships and help heal them. When we examine our feelings and perceptions in a “knowing field,” we can break out of familial patterns that cause suffering. Working through our family constellation helps us to find the cause of our problems and resolve them and leads to the realization that it is never too late for a happy life. For every person there is only one right place in the family, and that is their own place. Once you have found and taken this place, a new perspective opens up, which makes you capable of taking action. Systemic Constellation work deals with a group of relationships that forms an imaginary pattern or outline on the internal and external landscape of a human system, allowing one to deal with aspects of self, current life challenges, and identifying sources of support for our inner healing. https://www.hellinger.com/en/family-constellation/ ; https://www.human-systems-institute.com/ ; http://www.nasconstellations.org/what-are-systemic-constellations.html ; https://www.suzitucker.com/ ;

Healing Touch &  Therapeutic Touch

Every living organism is in a constant state of rhythmic, energetic movement.  Life force energy (aura) surrounds the body, moving in channels and currents in and out of the body cells.  Physical, psychological or emotional stress, disease processes, and/or spiritual issues can cause energy imbalances.  Therapeutic Touch and Healing Touch are methods of using the hands to direct energy exchange to facilitate healing by rebalancing the body’s energy field. (see: https://www.healingbeyondborders.org/; Healing Touch Program: https://www.healingtouchprogram.com; Therapeutic Touch International Association: http://therapeutictouch.org/)

Reiki

Reiki ((Ray-kee) is a precise, powerful system of healing and transformation which originated in ancient times.  Reiki, meaning Universal Life-Force Energy, is activated by a series of attunements and, thereafter, is accessed by touch and/or distance.  This gentle hands-on technique is easily learned and used on self or others.  Reiki promotes greater wholeness on all levels by balancing and aligning the physical-mental-emotional-spiritual bodies. (Ref: see http://www.reiki.org/)

Positive Neuroplasticity

Positive Neuroplasticity is about taking charge of the structure-building process of the brain. Learning how to activate positive experiences, prolong and enrich them, and heighten their absorption into emotional memory – so you can better manage stress, deal with life’s challenges (including pain), and have more to offer others. Many who have studied & practice neuroplasticity claim: less anxiety & depression; more ability to manage emotions; more joy, contentment, gratitude, love, compassion, & other positive emotions; more self-compassion, savoring, & greater overall happiness.  (Ref: see http:// www.rickhanson.net/the-science-of-positive-brain-change ; https:// www.rickhanson.net/articles/positive-neuroplasticity/ ; www.brainhq.com/brain-resources/brain-plasticity/what-is-brain-plasticity)

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) – AKA “Tapping”

Emotional Freedom Technique/EFT (or “tapping”) is a universal healing tool that can provide impressive results for physical, emotional, and performance issues. EFT operates on the premise that no matter what part of your life needs improvement, there are unresolved emotional issues in the way. Even for physical issues, chronic pain, or diagnosed conditions, it is common knowledge that any kind of emotional stress can impede the natural healing potential of the human body.  Sometimes called “acupressure for the emotions,” it is a highly focused energy psychology method that rapidly releases the emotional impact of stressful or traumatic life events from the body-mind system. An EFT treatment involves the use of fingertips rather than needles to tap on the end points of energy meridians that are situated just beneath the surface of the skin. The treatment is non-invasive and works on the ethos of making change as simple and as pain free as possible. Deeply effective at treating a wide variety of conditions including stress, anxiety, panic, trauma, addictions, depression, and chronic pain. (Ref: http://www.energypsych.org/?Research_Landing; https://www.emofree.com/eft-tutorial/tapping-basics/what-is-eft.html; http://www.theenergytherapycentre.co.uk/eft-explained.htm;

Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy Approach

Integrative Somatic Trauma therapy offers techniques for clients to sense and regulate their own physiology and states of being. This includes building more internal and external resources, building trusting and co-regulatory relationships, learning to turn inward with compassion, being invited deeper in the body, and given time and space to process the trauma. Each of the techniques are based on the foundational principle that healing and integration happens through our bodies’ primal language of movement, breath, and sensation. Additionally, body awareness helps us access an internal source of wisdom that guides the healing process and builds resilience. Through a wide range of Somatic Trauma Therapy approaches we are able to integrate an understanding of one’s developmental and attachment experiences as well the culture, structural inequities, transgenerational trauma, and systemic forces of oppression that one has been subject to and help to restore well-being. https://www.theembodylab.com/;  https://www.theembodylab.com/integrative-somatic-trauma-therapy-certificate#curriculum

Mindfulness & Mindful Self-Compassion

Mindfulness focuses on being intensely aware of what you’re sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practices to relax the body and mind and help reduce stress. Self-compassion is the ability to turn understanding, acceptance, and love inward. Many are able to extend compassion toward others but find it difficult to extend the same compassion toward themselves. Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) combines the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion to enhance our emotional well-being. While mindfulness increases our awareness of the present, self-compassion encourages greater kindness and understanding of periods of pain or suffering. https://self-compassion.org/; https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/consumer-health/in-depth/mindfulness-exercises/art-20046356; https://www.tarabrach.com/

Attitudinal Healing

Attitudinal Healing is not just adjusting or adapting our attitudes; rather, it is consciously choosing to let go of our fearful attitudes. It is a spiritual pathway that seeks to adopt a non-judgmental attitude toward oneself, others, and the world. The goal is not to change behavior, but to retrain and reprogram the most powerful instrument of change we possess, our own mind. It is possible to have a single goal of peace of mind and a single function of practicing forgiveness. In doing this, we can learn to heal any of our relationships, experience peace of mind, and to let go of our fears. When we connect with the energy within us, Attitudinal Healing can become a creative force in our lives.  Attitudinal Healing, internationally recognized, facilitates the use of 12 Principles of Attitudinal Healing in our daily lives as we focus on our healing and well-being.
